Summary
Hello! I am Qian (Arthur) Wang, a drumset performer, pop singer, soccer player and quick CS learner. I am currently a graduate student in computer science at the department of computer science and engineering of University of California, San Diego. I graduated as an outstanding undergraduate student in Shanghai from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, UM-SJTU Joint Institute, majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
I am enthusiastic about computer science. During my undergraduate life, I not only appreciated the beauty of rigor and efficient algorithms, but also always emphasized the application of algorithms to the engineering domain and further to people's daily life. Thus, I determined to further chase my computer science dream by pursuing a master degree in this area and applying my skills into the real world through the programs.
In my graduate life, I am mainly concentrating on two areas: artificial intelligence (speech recognition / data mining) and database systems (design / implementation / theory). I wish I could really contribute myself to making people's life more efficient and colorful.
